This awesome sugar hand scrub is so simple and can be easily edited into a lip scrub too! (Don't worry I included that recipe too!) It’s fun to make with the kiddos and since it’s all safe, non toxic ingredients you don’t have to worry if someone accidentally puts a finger in their mouth. Lol it might not be an “accident” at all!
You can whip up a batch of DIY sugar hand scrub for a fun project or to give away as gifts! Depending on what size container you choose to put your sugar scrub in it could either be used as a hand or lip scrub; or even a full body scrub!
Experiment with different carrier oils for added benefits and of course you can alternate your essential oils for different delicious smelling blends!
*Note; I only use Young Living oils and do not recommend purchasing cheap or synthetic oils; actually, I highly suggest you don’t as these could cause adverse affects! I only stand behind Young Living and their 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils. If you would like to know more, please feel free to email me or read this blog post.
DIY Sugar Scrub Recipe
Sugar Scrub Ingredients:
1/4 Cup Organic Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Raw Cane Sugar
2 Tablespoons Carrier Oil (Jojoba, Grapeseed, Olive, Sunflower, etc)
5-10 Drops of Essential Oil of Choice (Lemon, Peppermint, Lavender, or Vanilla all make amazing scents!)
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl until well combined. If the mixture is too dry, add more carrier oil 1 teaspoon at a time until it is less sandy and a little more liquid-y. Leave your concoction by the sink or in the shower for wonderfully soft and supple hands!
DIY Sugar Lip Scrub Recipe
LIP Sugar Scrub Ingredients:
2 Teaspoons Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Raw Cane Sugar (optional)
2.5 Tablespoons Coconut Oil (melted)

5 Drops of Desired Essential Oil (Lemon, Lavender, Cassia, Thieves, Cinnamon, or Peppermint make great additions!)
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Put in a small glass jar and allow it to set. Scoop out a small amount when ready to use and apply in circular motions to lip area. Use water to rinse and enjoy soft, smooth lips!
